Honeymooning in St. John

12:24:00 PM

After all of the wedding planning and celebrating this year, all Steven and I wanted to do for our honeymoon was lay on the beach...and that's exactly what we did allll week long! We hopped from the beach, to the pool, and on to the occasional boat—it was a tropical dream.

The island of St. John is only 7 miles long and part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The island runs on island time where the people are kind and the drinks are strong...just ask Steve ;). Both of our flights there were delayed trying to get there, so we were beyond excited to get on the boat over to St. John when we landed in St. Thomas! We stayed at the Westin and the first day we spent the day at the resort's pool and beach. The rest of the week we visited Cruz Bay, Cinnamon Bay, Hawksnest Beach and Trunk Bay. Hawksnest and Cinnamon were our personal favorites. The water is so warm, crystal clear, and even prettier in person than in the pictures you see in magazines!

A little tip if you ever go to St. John: when you get to Hawksnest Beach, if you walk as far as you can left and climb over a few rocks, you end up on your own private little beach with no one else on it. We spent an entire day snorkeling and laying in the sun there and it was one of our favorite days!

One day we took a boat trip over to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands to see the Baths and Devil's Bay. Talk about picture-perfect scenery, it was absolutely breathtaking hiking through the Baths and swimming in the clear blue water.

If you're considering a trip to the Virgin Islands, we 100000% recommend it! If you're not thinking about a trip to the Virgin Islands, well ya should ;)
